Frank D’Agostino, 26
Yonkers Firefighter, Co-Owner Transform Fitness and Training, Co-Founder The Style Society
Entrepreneur and Yonkers firefighter Frank D’Agostino has a lot on his plate — but that’s just the way he likes it. As co-owner of Tuckahoe’s Transform Fitness and Training, D’Agostino was instrumental in growing the gym from a handful of clients to servicing nearly 700 members in just two short years. What’s more, he’s created a fitness event for special-needs students, a population that is often ignored by the fitness industry.
“When we all came together, it was just beautiful,” D’Agostino says. Creating community and bringing out the best in people propels him.
Up next for the Iona College grad is a barber shop called The Style Society, scheduled to open this spring across the street from his alma mater. D’Agostino commissioned NYC artists to create a mural featuring Edward Scissorhands and DJ Khaled for the space. His mission with both businesses, he says, is to “create a culture and an experience for people that keeps bringing them back.”
When he’s not busy juggling personal-training clients or posing for the fire department’s charity calendar, he coproduces a podcast series called Network over Net Worth, in which he interviews entrepreneurs about success. What he’s learned is that “Success differs for every individual, but the common thread is that all these people have a purpose, and they hack away at it every day,” just like D’Agostino does.
